Cookies in use. Why, and how to control them.
This page lists every storage entry and cookie set when you use sopho.tech, what it does, and how long it stays. The anti-spam check on form pages is Cloudflare Turnstile, which sets no tracking cookies of its own.
What this page covers
This page describes storage entries (cookies, localStorage) set in your browser when you visit sopho.tech. Processing of the personal data submitted through forms is described in the Privacy Policy.
Storage and cookies in use
The entries below are technically necessary for the site to load, render, and protect its forms. Optional cookies, set only with your consent, are described in the next section.
theme(localStorage)— your light or dark mode preference, set when you toggle the theme. Persists until you clear browser storage.cookieConsent(localStorage)— records your cookie choices, including whether you allowed the optional cookies. Set when you save your choices in the cookie banner. Persists until you clear browser storage.__cf_bm,cf_clearance(cookies, set by Cloudflare)— bot management, edge security, and the Turnstile anti-spam verification on form pages. Optional cookies (with your consent)
With your consent, sopho.tech sets optional cookies that help us identify visitors interested in our services for marketing and sales follow-up. These load only after you allow them in the cookie banner — never before.
This category relies on a third-party provider that may process data, including your IP address, outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 5(3) of the ePrivacy rules).
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the page footer. Withdrawing stops the optional cookies and clears the entries already set.
Anti-spam verification
Contact and Careers forms load Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.) to verify that submissions come from humans rather than automated agents. The widget runs in invisible mode and fires automatically when the form mounts — no checkbox or puzzle is shown.
The widget sets no tracking cookies of its own. The bot-management cookies __cf_bm and cf_clearance (listed above) also carry the verification — no additional cookies are placed by it.
Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser and page-interaction signals, used to score the submission. Its privacy policy applies to that processing: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
Browser controls
Most browsers allow blocking or clearing cookies and localStorage per-site. Blocking Cloudflare cookies may prevent the site from loading and the anti-spam verification on forms from completing.
Do Not Track
Browsers may send a Do Not Track signal. There is no agreed industry standard for how websites should interpret it, so sopho.tech does not change behaviour based on it.
Updates
This page is reviewed at least annually and whenever the storage entries, the anti-spam mechanism, or relevant law change. Material updates are reflected in the "Last reviewed" date below.
